How do I use this background removal tool?

Choose an image, then click a simple background with Magic Erase. Use Eraser for manual cleanup, Restore to bring removed pixels back, and Move to pan while zoomed in. Switch Preview BG between Checker, White, and Black to inspect edges and remaining pixels. This changes only the preview background; the downloaded PNG keeps its transparency. Click Download PNG when finished. Magic Erase is color-based and does not use AI.

Is my selected image uploaded?

The image-editing operation runs in your browser, and this tool does not send the selected image to marimotomatoapps. This page may also display third-party advertisements, which operate separately; please see the Privacy Policy for details.

Does removing the background affect the original quality of my image?

The canvas keeps the image's original pixel dimensions while you edit. Removed areas become transparent, so the result is downloaded as a PNG. Any edit can change edge pixels, so use Restore and Undo for careful touch-ups.

What do the protected-area controls do?

Paint a protected area over parts you do not want Magic Erase, Eraser, or color removal to affect. The red overlay is only a guide and is not included in the downloaded PNG. You can hide, remove, or clear the protection at any time.
