Frequently Asked Questions & Usage

How do I change image or character colors using this tool?

Follow these steps to recolor an area:

  1. Click "Choose File" or drag and drop an image onto the page.
  2. Select a target color from the presets or use the custom color picker.
  3. Adjust "Tolerance" to control how many similar colors are included.
  4. Tap or click an area in the image. Tap another area to add it to the selection.
  5. Optionally adjust saturation and brightness, compare with the original, and click "Download PNG".
Are keyboard shortcuts available?
Yes. Use Ctrl + Z or Cmd + Z to Undo. Use Ctrl + Y on Windows or Cmd + Shift + Z on Mac to Redo.
What types of images are easier to recolor?
Images with connected areas and clearly distinguishable colors are easier to select. Illustrations, icons, clothing, and character images may work well, while photographs with gradients or complex textures may require a lower tolerance or several selections.
How are shadows and textures affected?
The tool blends the target color with the original area, so some shading and texture remain visible. Results depend on the source image and selected color. Saturation and brightness can be adjusted under Advanced Adjustments.
